Target Track Initiation Comparison and Optimization∗
This paper proposes a procedure for comparison of target tracking filters in cluttered environment, using simulated experiments. Important simulation issues, including track generation and retention across simulation runs and true track definition are discussed. False track discrimination is identified as an important target tracking filter performance measure. This measure has two components; ...
متن کاملScalable Track Initiation for Optical Space Surveillance
The computational complexity of track initiation, also known as initial orbit determination or IOD, using only angle measurements is polynomial in the number of observations. However, the polynomial degree can be high, always at least cubic and commonly quartic or higher. Therefore, practical implementations require attention to the scalability of the algorithms, when one is dealing with the ve...
متن کاملStatistical performance analysis of track initiation techniques
— This paper analyzes the statistical performance of track initiation methods. It evaluates, by considering a track initiation as a problem of signal detection, the track detection probabilities and false track probabilities of four popular approaches: the rule-based method, the logic-based method, the Hough transform, and the modified Hough transform techniques. The first two methods detect th...
متن کاملInvestigating on the Effects of Random Irregularities of Railway Track by Half-Bogie Model
The vibrations produced by trains include two parts which are deterministic and random vibrations. Due to variation of dynamic loads and patterns of load-time, the random vibration of moving train is one of the most important issues in the field of railway engineering. One of the important sources in producing the train vibrations is rail roughness and irregularities. In this paper, responses o...
متن کاملTrack to track fusion method applied to road obstacle detection
This paper presents a data fusion Kalman based method applied to obstacle detection in road situations. We describe the principle and the implementation of fusion process. It is based on tracks produced separately by single sensors. Results with Infrared and Radar sensors are shown, proving the benefit of this dual approach. Another application with Radar and LIDAR is also illustrated.
